Job DescriptionThe Associate Professor of Graduate Studies & DBA Program Director has the primary responsibilities of teaching, undergraduate and graduate on-ground and online courses, graduate committee work, research/creative achievement, recruitment and service functions and is held accountable for these obligations as they contribute to the attainment of the mission of the University, School of Business the School, and the Department. The DBA Program Director reports to the Dean of the School of Business. This position is housed at the Lincoln Memorial University Cedar Bluff site in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Required Qualifications

*A Ph.D. or Doctorate in Business Administration, Management, Marketing or other equivalent business degrees; *Demonstrated effective practical or graduate teaching and dissertation committee experience through a regionally accredited institution;
Preferred Qualifications

*Evidence of effective graduate teaching and scholarly activity; *demonstrated success in chairing student dissertations; *Leadership experience in higher education.

*responsible for tracking students program progress and keeping students on track to graduate in a timely fashion;

*must serve on dissertation committees as a member and/or dissertation chairperson;

*assist in the recruitment of DBA doctoral students;

*assist in the recruitment of students for other School of Business programs on an as needed basis;

*undertake the Standard Instructional/Research/Service Workload as outlined in the Faculty/Staff Policy Manual;
Job Duty

*all faculty and program directors are required to teach and be assigned undergraduate/and/or graduate courses based on course needs whether graduate or undergraduate programs;

*provide course and classroom conduct as outlined in the Faculty/Staff Policy Manual;

*comply with the university Faculty/Staff Policy Manual;

*provide academic advisement of students;

*conduct office and conference hours;

*submit textbook requests;

*ensure School compliance with the standards of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP);

*comply with announced requirements;

*engage in professional development;

*supervise the development, implementation, evaluation and preparation of annual reports related to the Strategic Plan, Outcomes Assessment Reports, Curriculum Mapping, DBA dissertation chair and committee membership training as related to the Graduate Program and academic program within the School;

*prepare course schedules for fall, spring and summer;
Job Duty

*recruit qualified credentialed adjuncts to teach courses when required and needed;

*serve as mentor to graduate students,

*responsible for the developing and editing a dissertation handbook and guide;

*develops student recruitment initiatives, advertising and collateral;
Job Duty

*identifies, contacts and communicates with colleges, universities, business organizations and industry promoting the DBA and Corporate Tuition Partnership Agreement;

*makes recruiting visits to businesses, industry, colleges, and universities as necessary;
Job Duty

*works with Graduate Recruiter to promote program enrollment;
Job Duty

*develops enrollment goals and actions plans as requested;
Job Duty

*fulfill the University s scholarship expectation through research, publication, grant development, and creative achievement;

*assess, assist, and guide face-to-face full time and adjunct graduate faculty under the direction of the Dean of the School of Business;

*office hours are 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m. weekdays;

*DBA Program Director to be available at the Cedar Bluff site to assist students, faculty, and dissertation committees;
Job Duty

*provide enrollment, assessment, retention, peregrine and other reports as requested by the Dean,

*provide committee service;
Job Duty

*attend department, school, and university faculty meetings;
Job Duty

*participate in community and public service opportunities;
Job Duty

*attend commencement activities;
Job Duty

*perform other duties and reports as assigned by the Dean
